I Karin Linds konstnärskap samspelar skulptur, måleri och scenografi. Hennes skapande rör sig mellan ateljéns tysta rum och scenens myller. Intresset för rumslighet och för materialens natur utgör en röd tråd.  

Ann-Marie Tung Hermelin följer tråden genom Linds omfattande scenografiproduktion via måleriet, skulpturerna och det kollektiva skapande i konstnärsduon SIMKA. Resultatet är en särpräglad konstkritik där Tung Hermelin uppdagar oväntade förbindelser mellan den sceniska gestaltningen och kreativiteten i ateljén.

Karin Lind är utbildad vid Konstfack, Dramatiska institutet och Kungliga Konsthögskolan och har varit verksam som både konstnär och scenograf sedan 1980-talet. Hon har arbetat med ett hundratal pjäser i Sverige och andra länder, och med regissörer som Lars Norén och Susanne Osten.

In Karin Lind's art, sculpture, painting, and scenography constantly interact. Karin Lind was educated at the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art, the Royal Institute of Art, and the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Since the 1980s, she has been active as both an artist and scenographer and has worked on more than a hundred stage sets in Sweden and abroad, cooperating with directors such as Lars Norén and Susanne Osten.
